One of the members of my art quilt group brought in the silver shingle-like fabric that she bought off the sale table at Joann's. We were challenged to make something with it. We recently had a retreat, and I brought the weaving, and a thermofax screen made from an instructor's manual for making hairdo's from about 1900. I decided to put the lady in a window. She has a rather pathetic looking knight approaching the tower. I'm not sure he can save her--he sort of reminds me of Barney Fife from the Andy Griffith Show.
all its missing is Aunt B - grin - no seriously though - good shingle fabric is really great to have in your stash! Pretty much the only commercial fabric I buy anymore is that that depicts architectural things.
