I submitted Mysterious Tree for the October challenge. Our art group had a session on making a tree using many of the stitches that come with the sewing machine. I machine quilted a batik background, zigzagged the tree rectangle onto it, added a son and rays. I used a 1/2 inch trim to finish it by hand tacking the trim to the edge.
